Atletico Tronkers vs Endorian Forest United
The Tronkers scored early with a 1 pointer for Jonathan 'The E' Nathan following a fast run into the Endorian's strike zone
Endorian Zaius went for revenge aftre the score, injuring The E who limped off for some light treatment. The Endorains, riled up from conceeding so early, moved up the pitch to defend their half, leaving the scattered ball open for a pickup.
Tronkers go on the offensive with number 2 slamming the endorian number 3 who dodges, but a followup send the Zee jack off the pitch for treatment. Veteran Fan favourite, John 'The Legend' Frost grabs the ball and charges up the pitch, dodging Zees' and shoots for another 1 pointer.
Enraged by yet another score, Lucius the number 5 delivers a punishing slam, leaping into the back of 'The Legend' Frost, the sound of his breaking back ecohed around the stadium. Frost is removed from play and is down and out for the remainder of the game. The Zee Captain Cesear storms up the pitch making ground into the Tronkers half as Kira the number 9 Endorian player and retreats into their half while number 2 Cornelius sprints into the right hand strike zone. The Endorian crowd wave their infaltable bannanas in recognition of a surge of activity. The Tronkeres look on the back foot.
The Tronkers rally with two slams against, Endorian number 3 Zira is off the pitch for treatmetn while Mick 'Safehands' Matrix tussles with another Zee.
The Endorian 4 stumbles trying to avade the Tronkers and number 9 Kira grabs the ball and makes a desperate pass to Cornelius upfield but it's too much and the ball scatters.
Captain Jonathan 'The E' for the Tronkers storms into the undefended Endorian half to retrieve the scattered ball but is unable to make any more inroads as the Tronkers guards slam Cornelius off his feet. The Endorians are physically outmatched against the Tronker guards, it's chaos for the Zee team who look battered and bruised, but they keep coming.
Number 10 Ari tackles the Tronkers Captain and knocks him down, scattering the ball. Endorian subs flood the pitch to make up the numbers with Ari the number 10falling over the ball trying to pick it up.
An acrobatic flip gets Tronkers Captain back to his feet, shaking off the Zee assault and storms through the Zee defence to a 4 point strike launched with skill and flair. The Endorians on and off the pitch go berserk with rage, some trouble in the crowd as several Zee fans start ripping apart their Tronkers opposites.
The Endorians are enraged and trip over themselves trying to get to their feet, but Ari gets up and heads for the ball, grabbing it with a howling shriek. Captain Ceasar and number 8 Urko get territorial against 'The E' but the Endorians are tired and batteed and The E deftly evades.
Steve 'Dream Boy' Laser who's had a quiet game speeds to Zee Jack number 8, Ari, and lifts the ball out of the arms of the Endorian and throws for a game winning strike, but he's tried too hard and overthinks the throw missing the strike hex. The Endorians rally and try to restore some team honour in the closing rushes of the game as Cornelius makes a run into the Tronkers half, Captain Ceasar grabs the ball, runs to a good passing position and throws to Cornelius, good teamwork who turns and throws a blistering shovel pass, one for the highlights to number 5 Lucius who turns and goes for a strike but misses. The Endorians are devestated and deserved the point, where has this skill been all game?
The Tronkers are safe for the win now and go for damage with Clark 'Man Mountain' Edge slams Cornelius, number 2 driving the Zee jack into the Neodurium to the fury of the Endorian bench. A brutal tackle, how does he stay on the pitch?
Miles 'Bad Mood' Miles joins in taking out Lucius, still devestated by the miss, and the Man Mountain tries to take our the Captain Ceasar but he rides the slam and drops back, bearing his teeth and beating his chest.
In the final rush the Endorians surge forward, they really want to score something in this game, Lucius number 5 grabs the ball, throws it long to the waiting Zaius in the 4 point strike zone but it's a fumbled receive. The ball scatters as the game ends.
Summary
The Endorians tried everything and had several amazing runs in the closing rushes, but it was too little too late and they didn't take their chances. The Tronkers played a good game but clearly were outclassing the Endorians.
