In The Zone - Episode 7 - Pre-Season Preview

'In The Zone' is the regular magazine show broadcast across the galaxy on the subspace wavelength on 92.2SUS and can be picked up on any SUB radio system, streamed via smartterminals, subdermal receivers and direct brain implants.
Hosted by Jim Wiezbowski, long standing DSPN sports anchor and regular co-host Mike Spunkmeyer they discuss all the matches, news and rumours of the recent E/WSAPD action.
Joined by adventurous Sphyr roving reporter An'aka Rez'nik who sometimes gets in a little over her hammerhead and joined by weekly special guests, 'In The Zone' is the last word in the league action.

JW: We're in the off season of the W/ESAPD but we've got big news for the upcoming season. I’m Jim Wiezbowski, I’m joined by Mike Spunkmeyer and this, is In The Zone.

In The Zone is sponsored by Fluffy Bunny Cupcakes, a division of Nakagura Heavy Industries, recycling your waste, so you don't have to...

MS: I'm so excited Jim.

JW: Me too Mike, the W/ESAPD is expanding.

MS: It sure is Jim, so many new franchises have wanted in on the new season the governing body have announce two new division, the Northern and the Southern divisions.  That means four divisions, five teams in each and a whole lot more Dreadball for us.

JW: We're going to be a lot busier Mike.

MS: You're so right Jim.

JW: The new teams are playing pre-season unfriendlies already and they're looking like they're going to spice things up for our old favourite teams.  Any teams to keep an eye on at this early stage?

MS: Well I like the look of the Ceres Convict Cadre, they're mean and tough and they're guards are super threatening, they ploughed through the opposition in their pre-season games.  The Atlantean Tridents took a battering, but against less tough opposition I reckon the fishes are going to be tough, a nice balance of offence and defence.

JW: I've been watching the Klendathu Park Rangers, they're four legged and scary as hell.

MS: You know what they say about bugs Jim?

JW/MS: The only good bug is a dead bug!

JW: Who else is coming in?

MS: Well the big news is The Alliance who were denied entry last year due to irregularities in their home stadium have reformed as ICS Stalkers complete with new owners and a shines new kit and they're looking a lot more structured.

JW: They're mised race now right?

MS: That's right, lot more for the coaching staff to deal with, but possible the mix of strategies will make it hard to play against them.

JW: I can't wait to get started Mike.

MS: Nor me Jim.

JW: We'll have more news as the pre-season progresses.  In the meantime, I'm Jim Wiezbowski.

MS: And I'm Mike Spunkmeyer!
