The Eastern Division has been neck a neck all the way through and both Stormfang and Atletico Tronkers have a chance with the Turion CityTerrors also in the mix. Stormfang are unbeaten and look insurmountable but nobody is quite sure why given their Clan Brothers Rapidclaw in the Eastern division have been so poor.
Stormfang opens up the scoring on the first rush with a 1 pointer by the number 4 Hemlock. The Tronkers respond immediately to level the score by the Iceman Jack Summer.
Stormfang picks up the relaunch and goes for another score but Toxide Sneak the number 6 misses the strike.
Iceman grabs the ball and throws up field to Steve ‘Dreamboy’ Laser but the Dreamboy has a nightmare and drops the ball,
Toxide Sneak intercepts and grabs the inaccurate pass and dashes forward scoring a 4 point strike.
The Tronkers put on some offensive play with Miles Ryback putting in some hurt on Hemlock and Sneak while fan favourite Jon ‘The E’ Nathan powers up the field to score a 3 pointer. The veteran is old but he still has the touch.
Stormfang are rattled and Blab Creep, number 8 fumbles a pick up and is berated by his team. The Tronkers push forward with Mike ‘Safehands’ Matrix launching the ball towards The E but it’s a poor pass, The E manages to hold the ball but is unable to score due to being off balance.
Stormfang need to get back into the game and Shice Scuttle tries to do just that with a pass upfield to Toxide Sneek but they miscommunicate the pass fails.
Steve Laser is back on the case for the Tronkers and runs upfield to score a 4 point strike. The Tronkers are in a commanding position as Rapidclaw desperately try to come back into the game with Blab Creep missing a 4 point strike.
The Tronkers smell fear and Jack ‘Iceman’ Summer wants to freeze them out of the game and throws it to Steve Laser who manages to catch the hasty pass and manages to score a 4 pointer ending the game early and handing the first defeat to Stormfang.
Summary
The Tronkers were too powerful for Stormfang who misfired for the first time this season. The Tronkers star players showed why they keep winning, despite their aging squad and it’s now anybody’s championship with the Turion Terrors, Stormfang and Atletico Tronkers all on equal points.
