Description

Set in the 'Android Netrunner' universe Mainframe is a game about forming boxes (partitions) around your players access tokens, of which you have a finite number.  Each partition around your token is worth 1 point per square times the number of tokens inside the zone you have sealed off.  So 3 squares with 2 tokens is worth 6 points at the end the game.  Each player assumes the identify of a hacker and has a set of unique cards randomly chosen to play during the game to influence the game.  Generic programs cards are available too to dictate the movement of tokens or placement of partitions.

The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.

What We Think

Jody: I love this game, it's a simple enough concept (boxes with knobs on as Dom says) but the influence of the cards and the competitive nature of the game as it progresses works really well.  You have a grand plan in your head, which can be totally derailed by the opponent.  Nothing is more satisfying than grabbing a large piece of territory unnoticed.  Really nice artwork and design too, lovely textured box.

Martin: Do you work together or be an ass? YOU DECIDE!
