Team of the Season - Season 16/17

With the season now over and only the Championship game to play, lets see who made the Team Of The Season...

Guard: Gibur Orxbasher. With 3 kills to his name, grizzled and seasoned Thunder Brokkr guard Gibur, lived up to his name by pummelling the Greenskins in particular. Wounds run deep. Rivalries run deeper.

Guard: Krutuk Rockhammer. Daggon Moon Slammer number 1, Krutuk with a season long performance in keeping with Orc tactics: Smash!

Guard: Godiro Warcrusher. Two Daggon guards in the team of the season? If only the Greenskins could SCORE a few more points!

Striker: Nu'Aavoo. Kamino Kinetics striker with a decent haul of 8 scores. 18 points in total. The Kaminos will look to kick on in the next season after finishing 3rd in the EASPD. The fans expected better

Striker: Alex "Dangerman" Duke with an excellent return for the Real Tronkers in the high scoring EASPD. Even stealing the lime light from his captain Kurt Kaan! 8 Scores and a massive 31 points!

Striker: Steve "Dreamboy" Laser. Wow! The Atletico Tronkers got off to a poor start. Losing first game to the powerful, but ultimately complacent, Turion City Terrors. But after that, they went on a 4 game winning run to win the division on the last round. For that, they have Steve Laser to thank. A HUGE 12 scores and 38 points. Marked man for next season?

The fans have been treated to a real feast of Dreadball action this season and although the WSPAD (in particular) was tight at the end with 3 teams in contention, next season will only get better with as the DGB have drafted in a host of new teams fresh for blood.

Some say there is nothing left but money in the Galaxy's greatest and bloodiest sport. Others? Well they just say there is nothing but bodies. Which is what the fans love afterall.

Stay tuned and we'll see you at the Championship game!
